Learn what is really necessary to make a 1000 yard shot! From the science behind bullet and cartridge selection, to simplification techniques to compensate for Corriolis and Spin Drift--not to mention Wind Deflection!
The Shooting School is also great way to get your hands on the exciting long range shooting systems from Gunwerks. All the shooting equipment is provided. You'll shoot a Gunwerks LR-1000 shooting system and Gunwerks Long Range Ammunition. Caldwell and Tipton provide the cleaning equipment and shooting rests.
You've seen many of our Gunwerks Long Range Tips on the TV program "The Best of the West". Now you can get the same instruction live! For in depth training, a hands-on course will significantly reduce your time to proficiency!
We offer an intense two day program using the best equipment in the industry that eliminates equipment concerns and focuses on technique and practical implementation.
It is our mission to educate and instruct shooters on equipment and techniques that promote ethical one shot kills, and seek out technology that can make it happen at extreme ranges!
Two day classes are offered in March and April Size is limited to 10 students. Sign up for a Mon- Tues or a Thurs -Fri schedule.
Your time will be split between classroom and field shooting. We’ll show you the science behind long range shooting, and then apply it in the field. The rifles, ammo and shooting products are provided by Gunwerks - you don’t need to bring any shooting gear! When you are finished with this course you will have a cursory understanding of 1000 yard ballistics, and field experience shooting at those ranges.
